Annemieke Bosman praat met regisseur Nina Spijkers en actrice Yela de Koning over Antigone, een voorstelling die zij maakten voor het Nationale Theater. Welke prijs ben je bereid te betalen voor je principes? Regisseur Nina Spijkers brengt een moderne versie van de Griekse tragedie Antigone. Een voorstelling over politiek, familie, stabiliteit en rebellie. De twee broers van Antigone (Yela de Koning) voeren oorlog om de stad Thebe en komen allebei om in de strijd. Als laatste man in de familielijn moet hun oom Kreon (Mark Rietman) de stad nu leiden. Om de politieke rust te herstellen, verbiedt hij dat een van de broers wordt begraven. Wie dat tóch doet, zal met de dood worden gestraft. Antigone is vastbesloten haar broer een waardig afscheid te geven. Ze komt steeds meer alleen te staan, wat leidt tot een fatale botsing met haar familie en de politieke macht.
