Deze zomer zenden wij een serie uit van onze Belgische collega’s van Radio Klara. Vandaag het tweede deel van de reeks programma’s gemaakt door Sara Debroey over Beeldenstormen. In de 16de eeuw voerden katholieken en protestanten niet alleen felle discussies over het gebruik van beelden in de kerk. Met de beeldenstorm van 1566 keerden de protestanten zich ook met geweld tegen de beelden in de kerken en kloosters. En we horen hoe de Habsburgers reageren op deze voor hun onbegrijpelijke explosie van bruutheid.
