Dat was de toekomst van de honderden katholieke meisjes die zich aanmeldden voor een leven in een zogeheten slotklooster. Weggestopt achter tralies, verdwenen ze voor altijd uit zicht. Totdat de deuren en de ramen van de kerk in de jaren zestig opengingen en de zusters naar buiten mocht, zo nu en dan.Radiomaker Gerard Leenders sprak met een paar slotzusters en maakte: ‘Voor God alleen. De laatste zusters achter slot.’
