Het Spoor Terug: de Matroos en het Meisje

Adriana, een 16-jarig meisje staat bij een tramhalte in Rotterdam. Het is het late voorjaar van 1944. Dan stapt Karl, een jonge Duitse matroos uit de tram. Zij kijkt naar hem, hij kijkt naar haar: liefde op het eerste gezicht. Adriana wordt al snel onbedoeld zwanger. Eind 1944 vertrekt ze naar de woonplaats van Karl, Bad Waldsee (Zuid-Duitsland). Daar wordt in maart 1945 hun eerste kind Heinz geboren. Adriana is dan net zeventien. Twee maanden later, als de oorlog is afgelopen, wordt ze gedwongen teruggestuurd naar Nederland. Adriana en Karl zien elkaar pas ruim twee jaar later terug en trouwen in 1947 in Bad Waldsee. Dan pas vertelt Adriana aan Karl haar grote geheim.
