Het mannetje van de radio, Een radioportret van Donald de Marcas. Hij is in 1933 geboren. Als ondergedoken joods jochie verblijft hij tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog op verschillende adressen, zonder zijn ouders. Studeert na de oorlog Nederlands maar maakt de opleiding niet af. Is vrijwel vanaf het begin lid van AVRO’s Minjon (Miniatuur Jeugd Omroep Nederland). Treedt in 1957 toe tot de hoorspelkern, speelt honderden rollen, wordt freelancer, trouwt met zangeres en kunstenares Sonja Bernd’t, zingt bij Studio Laren en wordt nieuwslezer van het ANP.
