Het Spoor Terug, Vrouwenvoetbal

Bij een EK of WK liggen de wuppies en vuvuzela’s al weken van tevoren klaar en elk café in elk gat, dorp of stad kleurt Oranje. In de aanloop naar het EK Vrouwenvoetbal valt een dergelijk dolzinnig enthousiasme nergens te bespeuren. Vrouwelijke voetballers en vrouwenvoetbal zijn, kortom, in Nederland nauwelijks zichtbaar. Terwijl onze dames in tegenstelling tot onze heren onze nationale trots hooghouden. Zij gaan dat doen vanaf 16 juli op het EK, ook nog eens in eigen land. Wies Bakker dook in de historie van het vrouwenvoetbal dat lang door de heren der schepping werd tegengewerkt. Ze maakte voor Het Spoor Terug de documentaire ‘Onze Oranje-vrouwen’.
