Heuermann Plea Mechanics and the Civil Liability Case Against His Family

Rex Heuermann pleaded guilty in Suffolk County Court to seven counts of murder — three first-degree and four second-degree — and admitted to intentionally causing the death of Karen Vergata, an eighth victim who had not been separately charged.
