Hey! We’re At 108!

I had this entirely different post written, and as I went to schedule it, Substack showed it to be the 108th post.Happy Full Mala Day!Thank you, thank you, thank you for being with me, for reading, for caringFor holding my wobbles and my lightAs I learn to do the sameFor example, I thought 108 was tomorrow, and it unexpectedly showed itself to be todayIn the scheme of things, this is a miscalculation I can deal with.As I look back to the beginning of this cycleMy intention was to chronicle this experience from inside the crisisI am still in crisisI am still chroniclingSo, I guess it’s a successOne thing this body of work has brought meIs a trust in the flow of inspiration, even with the occasional eddyWhile my situation hasn’t changed muchIt has also changed a lotThe process continues to unfoldI continue to unfoldSometimes willingly, sometimes with resistanceBecause I am not an automatonMy emotional hills and valleys form a landscape that hosts an ecosystemIn deep synchronization with every other living ecosystemSometimes there’s flowSometimes there’s conflictBoth are natural and welcomeOne feeds usThe other exercises usThe worldview that an ideal life has no conflictIs a very weird constructionA setup to have us dissatisfied unnecessarily and oftenI read a book called Good to Great when my oldest was in preschoolIt talked about the president of a company who was so frustrated by how often his workday was plagued by interruptionsUntil he realized, the interruptions were where all the juice wasIt was what connected him to the living, breathing movement of his companyGave him real data, insight into the challenges, relationships with peopleThe interruptions were exactly where he needed to beTo know, lead, care and create real and lasting impactTalk about reframing!That book let me listen to my kids 1,000 times better than I would have before reading itInterruptions are where life happensAnd so in this messy momentI can embrace the whole of it (most of the time)Knowing the process is ongoingAnd be grateful for the care and supportWalking me homeThank youDeep bow.
