If you're new here, I'm Juanita, and this podcast is a place where we exchange our weakness for Christ's strength, our striving for His grace, and our burdens for His peace. Last episode we talked about His grace being sufficient for every step. We discovered that God doesn't ask us to carry tomorrow—He simply gives us grace for today. But today, I want to go even deeper. Because perhaps the greatest struggle many Christian women face isn't simply feeling weak. It's believing that our worth depends on how well we're doing. Today's episode is called: Hidden with Christ – Trading Performance for Identity. Let's pray. Prayer Father, Thank You that our identity is not something we earn but something You graciously give. As we open Your Word today, quiet every voice of striving, comparison, guilt and performance. Remind us that because of Jesus, we are already fully loved, fully accepted and fully secure. May Your Spirit speak to every weary heart listening today. In Jesus' name, Amen. Have You Ever Felt Like You Needed to Be Enough? Maybe you've thought... "If I prayed more..." "If I were a better mother..." "If I could finally get my life together..." "If my ministry grew..." "If people approved of me..." "Then maybe I'd feel enough." Perhaps you've never spoken those words out loud. But you've carried them quietly. I know I have. For so many years I believed my value depended on how well I was performing. If I succeeded, I felt valuable. If I failed, I felt ashamed. If I was productive, I felt close to God. If I struggled, I wondered whether He was disappointed in me. But that isn't the Gospel. The Gospel says something completely different. Jesus didn't come so we could perform our way into acceptance. He came because we never could. Hidden With Christ Listen again to Colossians 3:3. "For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." What beautiful words. Hidden. Safe. Secure. Covered. Protected. Your identity isn't exposed to the opinions of people. It isn't dependent upon your successes. It isn't destroyed by your failures. Your life is hidden with Christ.
