Over a decade, she took on various roles and played a crucial part in navigating NSW through the COVID pandemic. Leading the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade, Amy learned that leadership can be lonely, especially after a challenging turn of events.Despite intense media scrutiny in 2022, Amy remained professional, courageous, and composed. Now, she’s taken on an exciting new role as COO of Christian Education Ministries, overseeing 14 thriving schools, 3 dynamic childcare centers, and a distance education program across five states.In our conversation, Amy shares how she makes career decisions based on:Values: Knowing who you are, what you stand for, and what you want to achieve to make crucial decisions.Courage: Having the inner strength to step out of your comfort zone, take risks, and learn.Empathy: Understanding our imperfections to better see things from others' perspectives.My favourite quote from the episode: "Listen to understand not to respond".
