It's Monday, March 2nd, 2026 and welcome to the Spring Edition of Hills Review -- the High School East Student Podcast. Cheerleading is considered by many as a club that requires no skill. This Tuesday, Adonis Tyrell challenges this notion, and shows how cheerleading is a sport that requires hard work, dedication, and physical and mental stability. If you think about it, if it wasn't for teachers, there wouldn't be any other jobs. Teachers play an important role in the education of our society. On Wednesday, Jenna Milohnic explains why – because of these incredible responsibilities – teachers deserve higher salaries. While immigrants come to the United States for a better life, many face difficult hurdles when they arrive. On Thursday, Samarth Patel looks closely at the Indian immigrant experience and explores the challenges that they face in trying to create strong, successful lives in America. Should your choice of jobs be based on passion or income? On Friday, Sofia Giacoponello explains why your career choice should be based on passion – and how, by taking this path, you will improve your mental health and lead a happier life. Think about the last standardized test you took. Did it truly reflect your intelligence, creativity and work ethic? Or just your ability to perform under pressure for a few hours. With so much at stake, it's worth questioning whether these exams are meaningful measures for college admissions.
