It is a period of time in which we are urged to celebrate, reflect upon, and honor the contributions of our Arab American friends, achievers, pioneers, and trailblazers from all aspects of life. Before the earthquakes healthcare settings in northern Syria were already struggling to support the 14.6 million people urgently needing medical care. The hospital and its associated health centers and mobile clinics specialize in providing care for mothers and babies, as well as providing local treatment for injuries and diseases, and treating sick children. Syria’s healthcare system is simply unable to cope. Let us be the change we want to see in the world.
