Hive Music Festival Week #86 Round nº2 | "Entre Caníbales"/Soda Estereo (Cover) by @alejandrorigo

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=alejandrorigo/wgwwimmv I really wanted to make some version of Soda Estereo...and I thought of one of the only two that I know; De Música Ligera and Entre Caníbales...of which I have already presented a respective version of each one here on #Hive a couple of years ago. But the one I obviously chose is very special to me because it is my favorite song not only from Soda and not only from Rock in general, but from any era. And this time I wanted to make, according to me, a vocally improved version...but I was able to compare it with the previous version and I think it didn't improve anything, maybe it even sounds worse hahaha. The truth is that this time I did manage to improve the sound, although I think I abused the compressors a little, I am addicted to those compressors, in this version I had to use at least 3 different ones to be able to level out the bass of the guitar and give it more. . gain to the voice and thus maintain an audio output that is as balanced as possible. I also exaggerated a little with the reverb (I discovered a reverb in Adobe Audition that drives me crazy) And well, I can't help but get out of control every time I'm editing and I have to use it. I also made an improvement in the guitar harmony, since it was wrong and I corrected it so that now I could make better harmony with the vocal melody. And well, about the song; What can I say that is not already known? It is a great classic of Latin American rock, belonging to one of their most iconic albums, such as "Canción Animal" (1990). What I like the most about this song and the first thing that caught me immediately was the alternative grunge sound, well that was the Unpplugged version that I heard, it is precisely the sound that I am describing. Its lyrics are brutal and can be metaphorically very realistic, but what I like most is the vocal melody, the guitar arrangement at the beginning... God, this song is incredible. And finally I want to thank all those guys who have been commenting there giving great support, thank you very much brothers... the truth is that I don't have much chance to respond because I have to attend to a job that even though it is in my own pc, it hardly gives me the chance to attend to anything else, and that fills me with a little anxiety sometimes. But it really means a lot to me and it makes me proud because I also know that they are very talented guys. So thank you, thank you and thank you brothers. And again a thank you to the community leaders for their great work, for creating, for being there and supporting. Thanks brothers. Oh by the way, I don't know if I'll be violating the community guidelines by posting a song that I've already posted before, but it's obviously a totally new recording and editing from scratch. A big hug and Rock+Roll Tenía muchísimas ganas de hacer alguna versión de Soda Estereo...y pensé en una de las únicas dos que me sé; De Música Ligera y Entre Caníbales...de las cuales ya he presentado una respectiva versión de cada una aquí en #Hive hace un par de años atrás. Pero la que obviamente escogí es muy especial para mí porque es mi cancion favorita no solo de Soda y no solo del Rock en general, sino de cualquier época. Y pues quise hacer esta vez, según yo, una versión mejorada vocalmente...pero pude compararla con la versión anterior y creo que no mejoró nada, quizá hasta suene peor jajaja La verdad es que esta vez si logré mejorar el sonido, aunque creo que abusé un poco de los compresores, soy adicto a esos compresores, en esta versión tuve que utilizar al menos unos 3 distintos para poder nivelar los graves de la guitarra y darle mayor ganancia a la voz y así mantener una salida de audio lo más equilibrada posible. También exageré un poco con el reverb (he descubierto un revervb en el Adobe Audition que me tiene loco) Y bueno no puedo evitar descontrolarme cada vez que estoy editanto y me toca usarlo. También hize una mejora en la armonía de la guitarra, ya que estaba errónea y pues la corregí para que así ahora pudiera hacer mejor armonía con la melodía vocal. Y bueno acerca de la canción; que puedo decir que no se sepa ya? Es un gran clásico del rock latinoramericano, perteneciente a uno de sus álbumes más icónicos, como lo es "Canción Animal" (1990). Lo que más me gusta de esta canción y lo primero que me atrapó de inmediato fue sonido grunge alternativo, bueno esa fue la versión del Unpplugged la que escuché, es precisamente el sonido que estoy describiendo. Su lírica es brutal y puede llegar a ser metafóricamente muy realista, pero lo que más me gusta es la melodía vocal, el arreglo de la guitarra al principio..Dios, esta canción es increíble. Y pues por último quiero agradecerle a todos esos panas que han estado comentando por allí dando un apoyo genial, muchas gracias hermanos..la verdad es que no tengo mucho chance de responder porque debo atender un work que a pesar de que es en mi propia pc, no me da chance casi de atender más nada, y eso me llena un poco de ansiedad a veces. Pero realmente para mí significa mucho y me enorgullece porque además se que son panas muy talentosos. Así que gracias, gracias y gracias hermanos. Y nuevamente un agradecimiento a los líderes de la comunidad por su gran labor, por crear, por estar y apoyar. Gracias hermanos. Ah por cierto, no sé si estaré infringiendo las normas de la comunidad publicando una canción que ya publiqué antes, pero obviamente es una grabacion y edición totalmente nueva desde cero. Espero no estarlo haciendo. Como sea, espero se la puedan tripear.
