Hoe veilig is Syrië? & De levensgevaarlijke tocht over het Kanaal

Verschillende Europese landen, waaronder Nederland, onderzoeken of het mogelijk is Syrische asielzoekers terug te sturen. De Syrische gemeenschap houdt de plannen angstvallig in de gaten, blijkt onder andere op de mediakanalen van de diaspora. Het is namelijk zeer de vraag of de zogenaamde ‘safe zones’, waar Syriërs zouden worden ondergebracht, wel echt veilig zijn. Daarover te gast is redacteur en Syrië-kenner Abdou Bouzerda. De levensgevaarlijke tocht over het Kanaal Dit jaar zijn al tientallen migranten verdronken die het Kanaal probeerden over te steken naar Engeland. De regering daar wil dat Frankrijk deze mensen tegenhoudt, maar aan de Franse kant lijkt er weinig geregeld. Het zijn vooral Franse vrijwilligersorganisaties die zich om het lot van de migranten bekommeren. Correspondent Eva Rammeloo ging een nacht met zo'n organisatie mee langs de kust.
