En octubre de 1961 se estrenaba la película "Desayuno con diamantes" ("Breakfast at Tiffany´s"), basada (con ciertas e importantes licencias) en la novela homónima de Truman Capote, dirigida por Blake Edwards, protagonizada por Audrey Hepburn, con música de Henry Mancini y con vestuario de Givenchy.Una combinación de elementos que convirtieron a esta película en un icono de la elegancia, la ciudad de Nueva York, la atormentada vida de una chica urbana de ajetreada vida (por resumir) y configurarían un modelo femenino de gran poder visual que sigue siendo reconocible e influyente.
