El reciente fallecimiento de Vangelis (Evangelos Odiseas Papathanasiou) deja un hueco enorme en el mundo de la música contemporánea, secciones electrónica, experimental y de bandas sonoras cinematográficas.Desde que ganó su primer Oscar por "Carros de fuego", con esa melodía inolvidable que resuena en nuestra cabeza siempre que vemos a alguien corriendo a cámara lenta, sus composiciones impregnaron de personalidad películas como "Alejandro Magno", "1492: La conquista del paraíso" o "Blade Runner", título este último que intentaré convenceros para que veáis. Además repasaremos la vida y obras musicales de Vangelis, algunas de sus bandas sonoras más memorables, hablaremos de su particular estilo compositivo "improvisado" y recordaremos alguna banda sonora que, como sucedió con algunas de las que compuso el griego, quedaron inéditas.Para ambientar el programa de hoy sonarán de fondo distintas piezas de bandas sonoras compuestas por Vangelis, tanto para el cine como para la televisión... y hasta la radio.
