El 6 de junio de 1944 tuvo lugar el Desembarco de Normandía, un punto de inflexión en el curso de la IIª Guerra Mundial que cambió la Historia. El cine se ha ocupado ampliamente de ese acontecimiento pero hoy intentaré convenceros para que veáis (o volváis a ver) "Salvar al soldado Ryan" (Steven Spielberg, 1998).No dejaremos pasar la ocasión para hablar sobre el propio Desembarco, algunas películas que han narrado ese histórico momento o para glosar la serie "Band of brothers (Hermanos de sangre)" que en cierta forma supone una continuación de la película de Spielberg, producida por este mismo y por Tom Hanks, el protagonista del film.A lo largo del programa escucharemos música procedente de las bandas sonoras de "Salvar al soldado Ryan" a cargo de John Williams y de "Band of brothers (Hermanos de sangre)" a cargo de Michael Kamen.
