Esta semana se estrena en cines la película "Marlowe", dirigida por Neil Jordan ("En compañía de lobos", "Juego de lágrimas", "Michael Collins") teniendo como nueva encarnación del legendario detective a un Liam Neeson que recoge el testigo de Dick Powell, Humphrey Bogart, Robert Mitchum, James Garner... El personaje surgido del talento de Raymond Chandler sigue cautivando desde la pantalla, aunque en esta ocasión la novela pertenezca a otro autor.Y es que el personaje de la película que quiero convenceros para que veáis esta semana, "El sueño eterno" (Howard Hawks, 1946 en esta ocasión no surge de unan novela de Chandler sino que se adapta "La rubia de ojos negro", escrita por John Banvillle (escritor que también firma libros de novela negra como Benjamin Black), autor galardonado con el Premio Príncipe de Asturias de 2014, ao en el que precisamente se publicó esta novela. Por todas estas razones en el programa de hoy abordaremos el género negro, la obra de Chandler y su personaje más célebre (el detective Philip Marlowe), las múltiples encarnaciones de este en la gran pantalla y, por supuesto, habrá tiempo para hablar de Banville/Black.Durante todo el programa nos acompañará como fondo musical la banda sonora de David Holmes para "Marlowe" (Neil Jordan, 2023) además de una inesperada sorpresa musical final. Y también tendremos la habitual sección de noticias de cine y televisión.
