Hongarije aast op EU-miljarden & De Colombiaanse Trump

Een van de belangrijkste verkiezingsbeloftes van de nieuwe Hongaarse premier Peter Magyar, was het vrij krijgen van de 10 miljard aan bevroren Europese tegoeden. Deze week hoopt Magyar dat voor elkaar te krijgen, maar in Brussel zijn ook zorgen over het te snel uitkeren van het geld. In eigen land werkt Magyar intussen razendsnel aan het hervormen van het politieke systeem, ziet correspondent Mark Middel van NRC. (10:46) De Colombiaanse Trump Colombia telt af naar de presidentsverkiezingen komende zondag. Colombia was altijd de belangrijkste bondgenoot van de Verenigde Staten in Zuid-Amerika. Die liefde is met Donald Trump flink bekoeld, maar kan weer terugkeren, want een "Colombiaanse Trump" stijgt snel in de peilingen. De kans is groot dat hij door zal gaan naar de tweede ronde in juni. Volkskrantjournalist Robert-Jan Friele schreef eerder een boek over de Colombiaanse politiek én was tijdens de campagnes in Colombia. Vandaag is hij te gast in de studio.
