Honoring God with Our Prayers

Have you ever wondered why Jesus gave the example of how to start a prayer? He wanted the people to know the importance of beginning with giving honor to God. God is holy and we must not be disrespectful with coming with requests. This was a guideline Jesus was giving the people, because they didn't know how to pray. Keep in mind, this was before Jesus' death. Now we have a personal relationship with God and can speak more freely. It is important to know there is no wrong way to pray from your heart.
