Do you ever wonder how God sees you? He doesn't get mad when you make a mistake. He isn't frustrated or upset because you don't do everything perfectly. When you make Jesus the Savior of your life, God sees Jesus when He sees you. You are perfect to God, not because of what you do, but just because He loves you. Do wonder if you are loved? We may not feel love from people around us, but we are completely loved by God. There is nothing we can ever do to stop His love for us. Have you ever wondered why people end their prayers with amen? One of the definitions is, “Let it be.” When ending our prayers, as we see in this verse, we should praise God, not because He needs it, but because we do. When we ask for something, we should praise God to remind us of Who He is and then put our faith in agreement and say, “Amen.” This is certainly not the only way to pray, because prayer is just talking to God wherever you are. This whole prayer was simply an example Jesus was teaching the people. Marcus shares this devotional on why we end prayers in this way.

Do you know people who will not forgive no matter what happens? Jesus mentioned we need to forgive our debts, which can be sin. This is not just forgiveness from Him. We need to forgive others who have wronged us, too. Jesus so freely died for our sins, and forgave us, because He loves us so much. We are commanded to love others, even if they are still unkind to us. Tricia’s devotional is about having our debt of sin cancelled and releasing our grip on others.

Have you ever felt you have no purpose in life? So you feel you are aimlessly wandering about? There is good news. Everyone has a purpose with God. He knew you before the world began, and He placed special gifts and talents into each one of us. You are unique in every way. God is holy and we must not be disrespectful with coming with requests. This was a guideline Jesus was giving the people, because they didn't know how to pray. Keep in mind, this was before Jesus' death. Now we have a personal relationship with God and can speak more freely. It is important to know there is no wrong way to pray from your heart. Do you ever feel like you want, what you want, when you want it? We all want things to go our way, but that may not be God's will for our lives. What have you been thankful for lately? Some of us may be walking through trials. It may be easy to get upset and not appreciate what we have. We can get focused on what we are lacking, and forget to be grateful for all God has done in our lives. Even the air we breathe is a miracle. What do you have faith in? Some people trust in their finances, jobs, or securities they think they have, but can be lost quickly. We need to put our faith in God. He is the only One who can help us in our times of trouble. We should have faith that He loves us and only wants the best for us. When we trust in Him, we will be blessed, even when we go through hard trials. God never leaves us alone. Marcus describes more about faith in this audio devotion.

Are you hungry, but can't seem to feel satisfied? God is the only One who can really help us get the nourishment we need. Feeding on Him and His Word daily will give us all the nutrition required to fill us. We shouldn't be Spiritually anemic. We can gorge ourselves on God and be filled continually. If you are expecting something good, do you wait for it eagerly? We get excited when we know we are going to get a good thing. Whether it is a package in the mail, a visit from a loved one, or anything else that will lift our spirits, we can joyfully wait. Do you ever feel you have to go to God because someone else said you must? That is not what God desires at all. He wants you to choose to have a relationship with Him. The letter of the law says you must do something only in a certain way. The spirit of the law is the reason behind why you are doing the acts. Someone may try to force you to offer something to God.
