Today we have Paula Hertel and Nancy Schier Anzelmo with us. Both of these women have extensive experience in the field of senior housing and are consultants in all aspects of operations and program design. Paula and Nancy, enjoy working with those affected by dementia and so after many years of working as colleagues they decided to bring their personal passion for horses and caring for all those affected by dementia together. They started “The Connected Horse project,” offers human-animal connection and engagement programs, tools and products that encourage and support individuals living with a dementia diagnosis, care partners and professionals. The project focuses on offering unique guided workshops that support people affected by dementia.
