Len and Jon know athletes, musicians, and Hollywood stars, but the Everything Is Personal duo also know lawyers – and in these litigious times you can never know enough attorneys. On this edition of Everything Is Personal, Len and Jon welcome attorney and "serial entrepreneur" Dan Berman, co-founder and chair of the Los Angeles-based law firm Wood, Smith, Henning, and Berman, which represents dozens of companies large and small. Dan's legal work spans business matters, professional liability, real estate, construction, intellectual property, and entertainment, and he's frequently worked with the pharmaceutical industry. Through connections with opioid companies, Dan saw how some of his clients may have been heading for the wrong side of history, so he became immersed in the cannabis world and the many directions the industry is going. Along with cannabis, Dan talks about his move to a vegan lifestyle and the benefits he's seen in his health, how cannabis has become a part of daily life with his family, and how one of his children especially benefits from "the plant." Also, Jon and Len thoroughly dissect a comprehensive, and potentially controversial, new list that appeared in the Feb. 3rd edition of the on-line magazine Complex titled "The Best Rapper Alive Every Year Since 1979." As usual, it's not who's included on the list that causes the most controversy, but who appears to be excluded. Listen in for the raised eyebrows, cries of outrage, and another layer of the hip-hop history that Len and Jon bring to EIP, along with another edition of Have You Heard.
