On this edition of Everything Is Personal, Len and Jon feel small in the presence of Big Mike, i.e. Michael Straumietis, who at six feet seven inches earns the "big" moniker not only in size, but as the cannabis pioneer who revolutionized hydroponics as the owner of Advanced Nutrients, one of the most popular nutrient brands in the cannabis marketplace. Since being introduced to indoor grow rooms in the early 1980s as a "plant expert," Mike has played a critical role in the cultivation of over one million pot plants, been the target of a manhunt by federal agencies, lived "on the lam" for almost a decade under seven different identities, and has grown throughout the west from Temecula, California, to originating British Columbia "B.C. Bud" to revolutionary cultivation work in Bulgaria to building schools in Uganda. Len and Jon also chew the fat on their favorite movies of the 1990s, with a special emphasis on perennial Len favorites like Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino. As you'll hear, not all movies are cinematically equal, but not all years have lines as quotable as "franks and beans" or "you're a funny guy." All this plus a new Have You Heard with a vintage dub find from Jon and a potential country-ish portal from Len.
