How can I stop smoking?

from Do you really know? · host Bababam

We all know that the effects of tobacco on the human body are devastating. The World Health Organisation says that it kills more than 8 million people each year, making it one of the biggest public health threats the world has ever seen. It’s hardly surprising when you consider that cigarettes contain over 4,000 chemical substances, and at least 50 of them are carcinogens, meaning they are linked to an increased risk of cancer. Many people will attempt to quit smoking as part of their New year’s resolutions, and we’re here to provide some information on the best ways to do so. It seems so, at least according to the most recent large-scale study on the subject which was published by Jama Network Open in October 2022.  If I give up, will my body ever fully recover? What different methods are out there? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions !
