How does good eating habit changes our mind positively? நல்ல உணவுப் பழக்கம் எப்படி மனதை நேர்மறையாக மாற்றுகிறது?

from Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom · host Santhosam

The mind is the cause of everything. It is said that the nature of the blood flowing in the human body itself is the mind. In general, foods are classified into three qualities or Gunas; tamasic, rajasic, and sattvic. Every food and plant carries these inherent energies. Whatever we choose to consume, that very guna becomes a part of us, influencing our body, mind, and soul.If we desire to cultivate pure sattvic guna, it is best to consume sattvic foods. By absorbing such foods, pure blood is formed within us. The root of everything lies in the function of the blood flowing through the human body — that itself is the mind. All desires and cravings arise from the mind. To know the mind is true knowledge. When one engages in regular deep meditation at the crown chakra(uchi—sahasraram), whatever we consume affects the quality of meditation. Hence to achieve higher states of meditation, control in food practices is of utmost importance.  When we consume sattvic foods, it gives us sattvic energy/guna. On consuming Rajo foods, it gives us Rajo guna. Same way Tamo foods imparts Tamo guna/qualities in us. Food, mind, and guna (quality or energy) are all deeply interconnected. Hence, consuming sattvic foods is essential for deeper meditation/dhavam. Send us Fan MailLet Wisdom Flourish!Let Peace Prevail! Let us protect Mother earth!Let us protect the Universe!
