How I Balanced Pageantry with a Full-Time Career

from Why Not #DoBoth with Kellie Sbrocchi · host Kellie Hall Sbrocchi

“HOW DOES SHE DO IT?!” Balancing pageantry, a full-time career, and personal passions doesn’t have to feel impossible — and Kellie is breaking down exactly how she made it work. From serving active-duty in the Navy as an Officer, to navigating a move to a new city, to running a part-time photography business, pageantry unexpectedly became one more thing she had to learn how to fit into an already full life. What started with her first competition at Miss Ohio USA in 2016 quickly turned into a years-long journey of learning how to balance military life, family, relationships, business, recruiting, modeling, and the dream of one day becoming Miss USA. Over the course of four years and four competitions, Kellie learned that what once felt overwhelming eventually became aligned. Instead of competing with one another, her passions began working together to shape the woman she was becoming, both on and off the stage.By the time she prepared for her final competition, Miss California USA 2020, Kellie felt like she had finally figured out how to truly prepare, compete, and show up at her highest level. While she didn’t take home the title, she did place first runner-up, and walked away with something even more valuable: the confidence of knowing she was capable of balancing it all.In this episode, Kellie shares how she navigated pageantry with a demanding full-time career, the lessons she learned along the way, and why women need to stop making excuses for not pursuing what they love.Because yes, you really can do both.Enjoyed this episode?
