I’m so glad you’re here.Every shoreline is changed by the wave of God’s hand, and so, too, are the days of our lives.Sam and I love walking the beaches God places in our path as we travel. I go barefoot most of the time, squeezing the wet sand between my toes with each step.Discovering a pristine sand dollar during one of our excursions caused my inner girl to giggle out loud. On many occasions, I watch intently to see what He will wash up in front of me as each wave changes the topography of the beachfront.Here’s some folklore about the sand dollar for your consideration.“There’s a lovely little legend that I would like to tell, of the birth and death of Jesus, found in this lowly shell.If you examine closely, you’ll see that you find here, four nail holes and a fifth one, made by a Roman’s spear.On one side the Easter lily, its center is the star, that appeared unto the shepherds and led them from afar.The Christmas Poinsettia etched on the other side, reminds us of His birthday, our happy Christmastide.Now break the center open, and here you will release, the five white doves awaiting, to spread Good Will and Peace.This simple little symbol, Christ left for you and me, to help us spread His Gospel, through all Eternity.”The author is unknownWe are told in Romans 1:19-20 that we will discover God in His creation. What discoveries from Father have you found walking on the beach?I’ve discovered God allows waves of change in my life as well. New and renewed friendships, new experiences, unexpected joys, additions to our family—so many changes. And the longer I live, the quicker the tides appear and recede.How about you?What changes has God’s hand waved into your life?I realize that for many, the past few weeks have been a literal wave of devastation. My prayers go out to all those impacted.
