How Mayor Allan Branch Is Rebuilding the Spirit of Panama City

This week, I’m sitting down with someone whose life and leadership reflect one simple truth: the most meaningful relationships are the ones that see more in you than you see in yourself. Mayor Allan Branch is a walking example of that. Whether he’s building businesses, shaping downtown Panama City, or simply serving neighbors one small act at a time, Allan brings a spirit of intention, creativity, and heart into everything he touches. In this episode, we talk about growing up in a tight-knit family, learning to see potential in unexpected places, and why community leadership begins with paying attention to people. Allan shares how art, software, and public service all fit into his creative brain, and how the kindness he received growing up fuels the way he leads today. This conversation is a reminder that the soul of a city is built by people who care enough to imagine something better and work toward it every day.Follow Allan Branch: https://www.facebook.com/allan.branch1Follow Allan's Mayoral Career: https://www.panamacity.gov/directory.aspx?EID=260Episode Highlights:[00:20] Clearing Up Misconceptions[00:58] Family and Personal Background[01:35] Career Journey and Interests[04:27] Homeschooling and Community Involvement[09:54] Community Pride and Local Businesses[13:20] Non-Alcoholic Delights[13:35] Downtown Transformation[14:43] Community and Connection[15:49] Politics and Leadership[17:24] Building a Vibrant Downtown[22:58] Gratitude and Giving Back[25:50] Thank You, SponsorsSpecial Thanks to Our Sponsors:Minutes and Miles – Chicken Legs Running Apparelhttps://minutesandmiles.comHue Salon & Boutiquehttps://www.huesalonandboutique.comJute & Palmhttps://www.juteandpalm.comCan’t Hide Prettyhttps://www.canthidepretty.comElysian Med Spahttps://elysianpcb.com/Holiday Beach Mechanicalhttps://holidaybeachmechanical.comLet’s Stay Connected!Follow along @MyHappyAssLife on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and YouTube so you never miss an episode.Presented by ADF MediaBe sweet, y’all! 💛
