Your Time is Now
Have you ever felt like your best days were behind you? Like once you hit a certain age, that's just it, time to settle down and stop having any dreams! That's the lie I'm calling out on this episode, y'all, because I promise you, no matter what age you are, your time is now. This week I'm taking you back to a memory from when I was just 11 or 12 years old, visiting my dad's AA sponsor, when I first discovered a book that planted a seed I didn't even know was growing. Decades later, I rediscovered that same book The Majesty of Calmness and it cracked something open in me all over again. We talk about aging without fear, using your failures as your foundation, and why your capacity to make an impact doesn't have an expiration date.Episode Highlights:[2:07] Sponsor Shoutouts: Holiday Beach Companies & Team Patriot Home Solutions[6:27] Finally Getting the "Body" Part Right[9:13] The Majesty of Calmness & Letting Go of the Fear of Aging[11:38] Our Time Is Now[13:53] Starting My Company at 50 & Stepping Into My Speaking Career[14:43] Today's Affirmation: Renew In Me[14:52] Outfit & Sponsor Shoutouts: Gypsy Willow & Amor BoutiqueBig Thanks To Our Sponsors:Team Patriot Home Solutions:https://teampatriotllc.comHoliday Beach Mechanicalhttps://holidaybeachmechanical.comGypsy Willowhttps://gypsywillowretail.comAmor Boutiquehttps://amorboutiquepc.comFerrucci's Ristorantehttps://ferruccipc.comSomething's Cookinghttps://somethingscookincatering.comElysian Med Spahttps://elysianpcb.comHue Salonhttps://www.huesalonandboutique.comPanama City Coffee Co. https://www.panamacitycoffee.comNew Merch & Book Updates! My New Merch: Check out our official Joy Is My Favorite Color and Be Sweet Y'all merch at https://be-sweet-yall.printify.meMy Book: Joy Is My Favorite Color is available now! Have you ever felt like a fraud saying something nice about yourself? Like the second the words leave your mouth, some voice in your head goes, "Girl, who are you kidding?" You're Afraid, Do it Anyway!
Have you ever been frustrated with yourself because you don't have your friend's talents? I sure have. I'm surrounded by talented people, my daughter who has the most beautiful singing voice, so many artists, and even tax professionals! I would love to have their talents, and maybe if I worked hard enough at art, I'd be an artist too. But what I do know is that God gave each of us gifts uniquely fitted to who we are, and it's a waste of my time and energy to sit around wishing I had someone else's. The hard part is actually using them, being courageous enough to do the scary thing anyway.I'm winding down Season 8 with a little potpourri of everything that's been on my heart. I share a beautiful lesson I learned from Holly Fowler about nature "listening" and letting go before a storm. As well as a boat ride with my son Sheldon and grandchild JJ that had me in tears of gratitude that I knew could not be possible if Sheldon was not sober. I get honest about the fear that still shows up when I am on stage at speaking engagements and why I've decided that doesn't mean I lack courage, it just means I have to keep tapping into it. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me along the way. I can't wait for you to see what's in store in the next season!Episode Highlights:[0:35] Holly Fowler's Nature Lesson & the Oak Trees Before Hurricane Michael[3:49] Celebrating Sheldon's Sobriety[5:50] Growing Up in Addiction & Choosing Joy Anyway[8:51] Sponsor Shoutouts: Pepsi, Holiday Beach Mechanical & Team Patriot[15:29] Entering a Season of Subtraction[16:52] New Speaking Opportunities & Trusting God's Timing[18:43] Why I Stopped Wishing for Talents I Don't Have[20:32] Winston Churchill on Courage & Your "Finest Hour"[22:44] Season Wrap-Up & a Sneak Peek at the Foster Care Episode with Barb & Kay[24:24] Sponsor Love: Ferrucci's, Something's Cooking, Bay Tax & More[25:23] Closing Affirmation from Joy Is My Favorite ColorBig Thanks To Our Sponsors:Buffalo Rock Pepsi: https://buffalorock.com/locations/panama-cityHoliday Beach Mechanical: https://holidaybeachmechanical.comGypsy Willow: https://gypsywillowretail.comAmor Boutique: https://amorboutiquepc.comFerrucci's Ristorante: https://ferruccipc.comSomething's Cooking: https://somethingscookincatering.comShore House Furniture: https://shorehousefurniture.comResources: Capstone House: https://www.capstonehouse.orgNew Merch & Book Updates! My New Merch: Check out our official Joy Is My Favorite Color and Be Sweet Y'all merch at https://be-sweet-yall.printify.meMy Book: *Joy Is My Favorite Color* is available now! The 1 Thing Every Foster Child Needs
She was never supposed to make it. Statistically, Barb shouldn't have become a loving wife, mother, and GG. This week she tells us why the statistics were wrong. 💛This week I'm sitting down with two of my favorite humans at Beachy Beach Real Estate, Barb Wade and Kay Blanchard for a conversation that got a lot deeper than any of us expected.Barb grew up in foster care, bounced between homes starting at age 11, and never quite felt like she belonged anywhere. She opens up about what people get wrong about foster care, and how she turned a hurtful experience into becoming the mom whose house is the safe place for every kid in the neighborhood. Kay grew up in a loving, stable home and just became a foster parent herself, welcoming a teenage girl into her family. We also get into the number one reason kids actually end up in foster care, why so many good foster placements fall through the cracks, and how you can make a difference in a child’s life even if fostering isn't for you.Episode Highlights:[1:46] Barb's Foster Care Story Begins[5:07] Why Kay Decided to Become a Foster Parent[9:25] Sponsor Shoutouts & Cute Outfits[14:48] The Hard Truths of the Foster System[30:49] What Kids in Foster Care Really Need[34:53]Judging Enthusiasm[36:44] Sponsor Love: Elysian Med Spa & More[38:14] Book Signing, Reviews & Wrap-UpAbout Barb & Kay:Barb and Kay are both real estate agents at Beachy Beach Real Estate. Barb grew up in the foster care system and has spent her adult life opening her home and heart to everyone around her. Stop Playing Small with Jody Morgan
What if the friendships God gives you were never just about coffee dates, but about calling each other higher? 💛Jody Morgan is BACK for part two, and this time we're having a spirit conversation about the books that changed our lives. We also talk about why excellence, experience, and celebration have been the secret ingredients to Jody's success. Jody shares how she brings "unreasonable" celebration to her team every single month, and why loyalty and shared values are non-negotiables in her friendships.I open up about the naysayer who almost stopped me from writing my book, the fear I still feel before every talk, and the moment I walked off stage and thought, "God, I think I can do this." You Don't Have to Wait to Be Happy
If you're one of those people who says "I'll be happy when I make more money," "I'll be happy when my child gets sober," "I'll be happy when my husband starts eating healthy" please stop. You cannot put your happiness on an "if," because you will constantly be chasing that if.What if the things you're not getting right yet aren't failures… but proof you're still growing? 💛I've learned to find happiness in the ordinary and the extraordinary, even through addiction, loss, and starting over. And through all that I've learned this: you cannot put your happiness on an "if." You will chase that if for the rest of your life. Today, I'm talking about the things I'm getting right and the things I'm still working on!!! Ever since I was a girl of 10 years of age sitting on my bed in an uncertain home shaped by alcoholism, books were my sanctuary. I learned that resilient people don't complain, they speak what they want and find solutions in every hardship they're faced with.I get real about growing up with an alcoholic father, losing my brother to addiction, and the years I spent stuck waiting for outside circumstances to make me happy. I share the moment I finally learned to be okay even when things weren't okay. Why Authenticity Begins With Courage
Y'all, what if the thing you've been resistin' the most is the very thing you were made to do? For years I watched my daughter, my friends, and peers publish their books while I let fear win. But I finally pushed through, did it scared and unsure but I did it anyway. Y'all, my book just went to press and I cannot tell you how good it feels. Don't Pre-Apologize for Your Amazing Life!
One of my favorite speakers, Jon Acuff, said something this week that stopped me cold: "We like labels because they offer an explanation for behavior we don't want to change." Ouch. I felt seen, called out, and set free all at the same time and I had to bring it straight to you. In this episode, I'm sharing the quote that changed the way I see every excuse I've ever made, why "I'm just not good at that" might be the most expensive sentence you ever speak over yourself, and what I finally realized after years of running on Karen Power and wondering why I kept hitting the wall. I'm also getting real about a pattern I see in myself and so many of the people I love, pre-apologizing for the very gifts that helped us survive. The affirmations I've been writing since I was ten years old, the ones that carried me through addiction in my home, heartbreak, and seasons with nothing left. I've been calling them "just a little affirmation book." Not anymore. our gifts were never meant to come with an apology.Episode Highlights:[01:12] The labels we use as excuses not to change[03:17] "I'm not talented and smart enough to be unprepared"[06:24] What going to bed discouraged is really telling you[13:32] Karen Power vs. plugging into the RIGHT source[17:56] You can't change others — but you have 100% control over changing yourself[19:41] When you stop saving people, they learn to save themselves[25:37] I've been pre-apologizing for my own gifts — and I'm done![30:04] Anticipate the best — the Shore House story that got me good[31:29] Closing affirmation & sendin' you off with a full heartSpecial Thanks to Our SponsorsBuffalo Rock Pepsi: www.buffalorock.comSumthin's Cookin': https://somethinscookin.com/homeHoliday Beach Mechanical: https://www.holidaybeachmechanical.comTeam Patriot LLC: https://teampatriotllc.comGypsy Willow: https://gypsywillowretail.comHue Salon: https://www.huesalonandboutique.comElysian Med Spa: https://elysianpcb.com/Ferrucci's: https://ferruccipc.com/Shore House Furniture: https://shorehousefurniture.comLinks & Resources: The Road Less Stupid by Keith J. Why Gen Z is Leading the Way in Mental Health
It’s mental health awareness month and today I’m reflecting on how much has changed... I can remember when I was younger, if you needed to go to therapy, it was almost a secret. We were surrounded by shame, feeling like we were defective if we couldn’t handle it all on our own. But now, things have shifted, and we are finally dropping that stigma thanks to the brave young people in our lives who have embraced it.Today I’m joined by my precious grandchild, JJ, who is truly wise beyond their years, to talk about their mental health journey. JJ shares their experience growing up in the wake of family addiction and loss, and how they are choosing to break the cycle. This episode is for anyone who needs a reminder that it’s okay to not be okay, and that there is so much power in simply being honest about our struggles.Episode HighlightsSpecial Thanks to My Precious Sponsors!!!Buffalo Rock Pepsi: www.buffalorock.comHoliday Beach Mechanical: www.holidaybeachmechanical.comAmor Boutique: https://amorboutiquepc.comTeam Patriot: www.teampatriotllc.comSomethin's Cookin' Downtown: www.somethinscookin.comFerrucci Ristorante: www.ferruccipc.comHue Salon: https://www.huesalonandboutique.comMinutes & Miles: https://minutesandmiles.comGypsy Wllow: https://gypsywillowretail.comBay Tax: www.bay.tax/bay-intro-to-the-firmShorehouse Furniture: https://shorehousefurniture.comEpisode Highlights: [01:12] Mental Health Month and Gen Z openness[03:43] Losing Mom and finding strength[07:16] Therapy tools for anxiety and ADHD[08:44] Wellness habits through art, music, and theater[10:20] Why we chose homeschooling[13:20] Sponsor shoutouts and field trip plans[15:11] Why therapy matters[15:45] Gender differences and emotions[20:27] Breaking unhealthy family cycles[23:00] Helping friends navigate hard seasons[24:45] Self-improvement and health goals[25:56] Independence, growth, and hopeLet’s Stay Connected!Follow along on social media @BeSweetYall and don’t forget to subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and YouTube so you never miss an episode.🎙 Presented by ADF MediaBe sweet, y’all 💛

Taking The Long Way Around
I just have to tell you how much I adore Sue Monk Kidd’s book, When the Heart Waits! I've read it four times (and counting!) because it holds the secret to one of the hardest lessons I've ever had to learn: how to simply slow down. Today I share how I’m actively working to build quiet space and find "white space" in my life. I also introduce the Magic Wand Theory. This concept challenges us to drop our logical thoughts, tap into our spirit, and dream about what is truly possible for our business and life, encouraging us to rest in possibility to listen to God’s beautiful, still, quiet voice.Episode Highlights:[00:31] Choosing to slow down and create space[02:48] Butterflies, books, and quiet reflection[03:16] The tadpole story and taking the long way[06:12] Life’s harder lessons and perspective shifts[08:20] Hugh, Al-Anon, and releasing over-responsibility[10:21] The power of waiting and stillness[11:39] The “magic wand” exercise: thinking in possibility[14:59] Sponsors and gratitude[16:07] Rebrand update and naming challenges[16:47] Closing affirmation Links & Resources:When the Heart Waits by Sue Monk Kidd:https://www.amazon.com/When-Heart-Waits-Spiritual-Direction/dp/0061144894Special Thanks to Our SponsorsBuffalo Rock Pepsihttps://www.buffalorock.comHoliday Beach Mechanicalhttps://holidaybeachmechanical.comShore House Furniturehttps://shorehousefurniture.comHue Salon:huesalonandboutique.comTeam Patriot:https://teampatriotllc.comFerrucci Ristorante:https://ferruccipc.comLet’s Stay Connected!Follow along @MyHappyAssLife on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Tuning Into Your Inner Soundtracks With Britt Matthews
What if the messages playing in your head were actually holding you back from the life you were meant to live?Today I am joined in the studio by my effervescent and darling daughter, Britt, for a conversation that is as deep as it is spicy. Today we’re talking about soundtracks, which are the internal voices and repetitive thoughts that shape our reality. Inspired by the work of Jon Acuff, we explore how to identify the broken records of overthinking and replace them with messages that are much more aligned with our values and are more positive. We get vulnerable about our own current soundtracks. Britt shares her journey of moving away from hustling for self worth and embracing the mantra that she deserves a love she does not have to chase. Meanwhile, I open up about my people pleasing recovery and the realization that while I can do many things, my energy is expensive and I should focus on the things I am truly great at.If you are struggling with a stuck thought or just need a little spark to get your fire going we’re here to remind you that you have the power to turn down the volume on negativity and curate a sound track that serves you.Episode Highlights[00:01] Studio chaos: Who let the dogs out and why we do not need an agenda.[00:02] The poetry of joy: Discussing Joyce Sullivan and why joy is not a trick.[00:04] Jon Acuff and Soundtracks: Why we love his edgy and accessible take on mindset.[00:05] Fearlessly and wonderfully made: The soundtrack that started before Britt was born.[00:07] Some is better than none: Breaking the lie that there is not enough time.[00:08] Good is good enough: Utilizing Pareto’s Principle in business and life.[00:10] Sponsor Break: Love for Buffalo Rock Pepsi and Holiday Beach Mechanical.[00:11] Nana's legacy: Fashion, ear bobs, and the gift of being a biggest fan.[00:15] Staying in your lane: Why you should not try to be great at everything.[00:16] Energy is expensive: Taking a cue from Taylor Swift on protecting your peace.[00:20] Turning down the dial: Replacing negative tapes with coping actions like exercise and lists.[00:26] The People Pleasing Trap: Why Karen signed up for Orange Theory.[00:32] Relationships and Affirmations: Writing what you need to hear in the moment.[00:35] The Burger King Blessing: How a little spark of energy can change someone's day.[00:38] Curiosity over Fear: Britt’s parting wisdom on the inner artist and being a maker.Special Thanks to Our SponsorsBuffalo Rock Pepsi :www.buffalrock.comHoliday Beach Mechanical:https://holidaybeachmechanical.comHue Salon and Boutique: https://www.huesalonandboutique.comAmor Boutique: https://amorboutiquepc.comBay Tax Solution: https://bay.taxElysian Med Spa: https://elysianmedspa.comFerrucci Ristorante: https://ferruccipc.comAbout BrittBritt is the friend with the messy car, a growing hat collection, and a deep belief that it is never too late to become who you are supposed to be. How Angela Klopf Creates Real Community Impact
What if the secret to a truly happy life… is giving something away? 💛Y’all… this conversation made my heart so happy I could barely stand it. I got to sit down with the absolutely beautiful, warm, and generous Angela from Habitat for Humanity, and let me tell you… this is what it looks like when someone is living a life of purpose. We talk about what Habitat really does…Of course, they build homes, but let’s not forget they also build hope, instill belonging, and plant the seeds of community. When Angela shares her story of growing up in foster care and how that shaped her heart for service… whew. It just reminds you that God can take every hard thing and turn it into something beautiful. If you’re out there searching for community this is a reminder that YOU can be a part of something bigger! What's Stuck In Your Craw?
Today I’m asking a question that hit me right in the heart…what is stuck in your craw?I’m sharing where I’ve ignored the little irritations in my life until they turned into something bigger… and where I’ve finally made changes before things reached a breaking point. I also talk about something powerful I heard: most people don’t change out of desire…they change because of disasters. And that made me stop and ask myself… what can I change today before it gets to that point? This message is your gentle nudge to pause, reflect, and choose growth on purpose…not by force.Episode Highlights [01:30] What “stuck in your craw” really means [03:00] Why we ignore what bothers us [04:00] My health wake-up call and losing 50 pounds [06:30] Small changes that led to big results [08:00] Struggles with money and people-pleasing [10:30] The boutique spending habit I had to face [12:30] What are you avoiding right now? It’s Not You—It’s Me (And That Changes Everything)
Ever catch yourself mentally drafting a “what they should do” speech… while your own side of the street is a mess? Today’s episode is a loving gut-check about the one thing I actually have control over: me.I talk about how easy it is to point outward when I’m tired, stressed, or overwhelmed, and why that always leads to a cascade of drama I didn’t need. The real work is noticing my part, owning my response, and choosing peace instead of trying to manage everyone else’s behavior. I share the mindset shift that keeps bringing me back: I can’t fix what’s going on inside someone else, but I can pause, take responsibility, and stop reacting like I’m on autopilot. If you’ve been feeling frustrated, disappointed, or stretched thin, this one will help you loosen your grip and move forward with more clarity.Episode Highlights:[00:00] A quick life update and what’s on my heart today[02:00] Why “it’s not you, it’s me” is actually true[05:00] The difference between reacting and responding[09:00] Staying in my lane when emotions run hot[12:00] Giving grace when you don’t know what someone’s carrying[15:00] Letting go of what I can’t control[20:00] Weekly love note + affirmation[22:00] A closing reflection to reset your mindsetSpecial Thanks to Our SponsorsBuffalo Rock Pepsihttps://www.buffalorock.comHoliday Beach Mechanicalhttps://holidaybeachmechanical.comHue Salon & Boutiquehttps://www.huesalonandboutique.comAmor Boutiquehttps://amorboutiquepc.comCan’t Hide Prettyhttps://www.canthidepretty.comGypsy Willow: www.gypsywillowretail.com Bay Taxhttps://bay.taxAmor Boutiquehttps://amorboutiquepc.comShorehouse Furniturehttps://shorehousefurniture.comLucky’s Pine Straw – https://luckiespinestraw.comLet’s Stay Connected!Follow along @MyHappyAssLife on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and YouTube so you never miss an episode. Why Consistency Beats Intensity Every Single Time
I’ve learned something the hard way: intensity feels productive, but it doesn’t actually change your life. If you keep starting strong and burning out, this episode is for you.Today, I unpack why goals so often fall apart, not because we’re lazy or undisciplined, but because our inputs and self-talk are quietly working against us. We explore why consistency beats intensity every time, how the words you repeat shape your identity, and why sustainable growth comes from daily agreements with yourself, not big emotional pushes.I share real-life examples from health, leadership, and mindset, including lessons learned from coaching, sports leadership, and my own journey of showing up even when motivation fades. We talk about sound bites, self-trust, and what it really means to operate like a winner when no one is watching. You don’t need more pressure. You don’t need a bigger promise. You need steadier inputs and kinder, truer language.Because real change doesn’t come from going harder. It comes from staying consistent.Episode Highlights:[02:30] What great coaches understand about identity and language[04:45] How changing words changes outcomes[06:30] “We will not be surprised by success,” and why expectation matters[08:00] Pressure as a privilege, not a punishment[10:15] What it really means to operate like a winner[11:45] Consistency beats intensity every time[13:30] The long-term impact of small, repeated actions[15:00] Coaching, self-trust, and learning to show up[17:30] Why motivation often fails and inputs matter more[19:15] Discipline as a way to rebuild trust in yourself[21:00] Mind, body, and spirit working together[23:30] The power of affirmations and internal sound bites[25:45] Gratitude as a shift from what’s missing to what’s working[28:00] Choosing better inputs in a noisy world[30:15] Encouragement to develop your own winning languageSpecial Thanks to Our Sponsors:Buffalo Rock Pepsiwww.buffalorock.comHoliday Beach Mechanicalwww.holidaybeachmechanical.comCan’t Hide Prettywww.canthidepretty.comJute & Palmwww.juteandpalm.comHue Salon & Boutiquewww.huesalonandboutique.comShore House Furniturehttps://shorehousefurniture.comAmerican Home Shieldwww.ahs.comLinks & ResourcesSoundtracks by Jon Acuffwww.jonacuff.com/soundtracksThe School of Greatness with Lewis Howeshttps://lewishowes.com/sogpodcastAffirmations Mentioned in This Episode“I’m feeling better and better every day, in every way.”“Consistency beats intensity.”“Discipline builds self-trust.”“You may not have a motivation problem. How Mayor Allan Branch Is Rebuilding the Spirit of Panama City
This week, I’m sitting down with someone whose life and leadership reflect one simple truth: the most meaningful relationships are the ones that see more in you than you see in yourself. Mayor Allan Branch is a walking example of that. Whether he’s building businesses, shaping downtown Panama City, or simply serving neighbors one small act at a time, Allan brings a spirit of intention, creativity, and heart into everything he touches. In this episode, we talk about growing up in a tight-knit family, learning to see potential in unexpected places, and why community leadership begins with paying attention to people. Allan shares how art, software, and public service all fit into his creative brain, and how the kindness he received growing up fuels the way he leads today. This conversation is a reminder that the soul of a city is built by people who care enough to imagine something better and work toward it every day.Follow Allan Branch: https://www.facebook.com/allan.branch1Follow Allan's Mayoral Career: https://www.panamacity.gov/directory.aspx?EID=260Episode Highlights:[00:20] Clearing Up Misconceptions[00:58] Family and Personal Background[01:35] Career Journey and Interests[04:27] Homeschooling and Community Involvement[09:54] Community Pride and Local Businesses[13:20] Non-Alcoholic Delights[13:35] Downtown Transformation[14:43] Community and Connection[15:49] Politics and Leadership[17:24] Building a Vibrant Downtown[22:58] Gratitude and Giving Back[25:50] Thank You, SponsorsSpecial Thanks to Our Sponsors:Minutes and Miles – Chicken Legs Running Apparelhttps://minutesandmiles.comHue Salon & Boutiquehttps://www.huesalonandboutique.comJute & Palmhttps://www.juteandpalm.comCan’t Hide Prettyhttps://www.canthidepretty.comElysian Med Spahttps://elysianpcb.com/Holiday Beach Mechanicalhttps://holidaybeachmechanical.comLet’s Stay Connected!Follow along @MyHappyAssLife on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and YouTube so you never miss an episode.Presented by ADF MediaBe sweet, y’all! 💛

When Looking Back Helps You Move Forward
Sometimes I say, “Don’t look in the rearview mirror. That’s not where you’re going.” But today I’m sharing why looking back can be holy work. When we glance over our shoulder with an open heart, we remember just how far God has brought us and how much He can still do when we keep our hands open and ready to receive. In this episode, I talk about the seasons that shaped me: the years of working three jobs, the embarrassment I carried, the kindness that kept my lights on, and the moments when God used people to love me back to life. And now, standing in this beautiful building and walking in blessings I once prayed for, I’m reminded why gratitude is the fuel that moves us forward. If you’re in a hard season, I hope my stories remind you that you’ve made it through every hard day so far and you’ll make it through this one too. Look back only long enough to say, “Thank You,” then let faith lead you on.Episode Highlights:[00:00] Welcoming our newest sponsor: Buffalo Rock Pepsi[01:00] Why looking back can deepen gratitude[02:00] Letting go, letting God, and speaking to Impact 100[03:00] Learning to trust your voice even when fear shows up[04:00] Humbling jobs, old uniforms, and the embarrassment that shaped me[05:00] The moment I couldn’t afford power and prayed for a way forward[06:00] When community loved me through my hardest Christmas[07:00] Walking into blessings I once begged God for[08:00] Keeping your hands open so God can fill them[09:00] Reframing lack with “It’s not in my budget”[10:00] Using the past as proof that you can survive anything[11:00] Protecting your peace from negativity[12:00] Letting your story become someone else’s hope[13:00] Sponsor gratitude and reflecting on generosity[14:00] Art Pop Up details and supporting Backpack BlessingsSpecial Thanks to Our Sponsors!Buffalo Rock PepsiPhone: (850) 763-8458https://www.buffalorock.comAmor Boutiquehttps://amorboutiquepc.comCan’t Hide Prettyhttps://www.canthidepretty.comJute & Palmhttps://www.juteandpalm.comHue Salon & Boutiquehttps://www.huesalonandboutique.comMinutes and Miles Chicken Legs Running Apparelhttps://minutesandmiles.comLucky’s Pine Strawhttps://luckiespinestraw.comHoliday Beach Mechanicalhttps://holidaybeachmechanical.comAmerican Home Shield Warranty Chris DicksonCall: (850) 568-5142https://www.ahs.comBay Tax Brian Yormackhttps://bay.taxLinks & Resources: Backpack Blessings (local nonprofit supporting children with weekend food bags)https://www.backpackblessingspcb.com/Let’s Stay Connected!Follow along @MyHappyAssLife on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and YouTube so you never miss an episode.Presented by ADF MediaBe sweet, y’all! 💛

Why Real Peace Starts With Letting Go with Erle Morring
As we continue this beautiful new season, I’m reminded once again how God sends the right people at the right time often before we even know we need them. Today, I sit down with my friend Erle Morring, who has brought fresh joy, renewed energy, and a whole lot of heart into our world at Beachy Beach and Premier Property Group. In this conversation, we talk about the slow, steady unfolding of life, the lessons real estate has taught us, and how peace finds us when we pause long enough to let it in. Erle shares stories from his Alabama roots, the winding path that led him to leadership, and the deep love he carries for people, boating, gratitude, and those spirited little dachshunds of his.We also talk about the power of letting go, how forgiveness clears the way for new blessings, and why mind, body, and spirit aren’t meant to grow separately they strengthen one another. Rewrite Your Life With Blank Pages and New Pens

From Fear To Faith With A Pen
Every once in a while, life hands us a moment that stops us right in our tracks. This encore episode captures one of those moments for me. When I found out my carotid arteries were blocked, fear moved in fast but so did God’s grace. And the very thing that helped me move from panic back into peace was something I’ve leaned on for years: writing it down.I share how putting my prayers, gratitudes, fears, and hopes on paper has become the cheapest and most powerful medicine in my life. When I give those thoughts a place to land, they stop taking up so much space in my heart. That’s when God can come in with clarity and calm. I talk about how COVID changed the way I see my health, the shifts I’m making now, and why taking care of ourselves is one of the most loving things we can do.If you’ve ever been scared of a diagnosis, overwhelmed by your thoughts, or unsure where to turn I want you to feel held and safe in this moment. You are not alone, and there is so much hope waiting for you.Episode Highlights: [00:00] A sweet encounter in the checkout line that reminded me how connected we all are [01:00] The honest reality of keeping Happy Ass Life going and wanting to sustain the mission [01:45] The health news that shook me awake [02:30] How COVID shifted my attention to my body in a whole new way [03:00] Hearing the words “blocked carotid arteries” and letting myself feel it [03:45] Why avoiding checkups is one of the biggest ways we cheat ourselves [04:15] How journaling, affirmations, and daily writing keep me grounded [04:45] Today’s affirmation: “Ink is the cheapest of medicines.” [05:00] How writing helps me release fear and invite in God’s healing grace [05:45] My belief that I’m equipped to help the person I used to be [06:30] Words of encouragement for anyone afraid or overwhelmed [07:00] My journey into non-toxic living and supporting my heart health [08:00] The small steps I’m taking moving forward [08:30] An open invitation for listeners to share their own stories and wisdomLet’s Stay Connected! Leave A Soul Print!
This morning, as I ran beneath the glow of the full moon, I couldn’t help but think about my late husband, Hugh Smith, and the lasting imprint he left on my heart and the lives of so many others. Hugh lived his life with intention. He was serving, loving, and growing closer to God every single day. Even in his final years, he began each morning on his knees, praying, “Hey Dad…show me how to do Your will.”Today I’m sharing how Hugh’s legacy of recovery, faith, and kindness continues to shape me. When I think about the way he loved without judgment, his example reminds us all to live with grace and to leave a soul print everywhere we go. Because the world doesn’t need more critics, it needs more people willing to love, forgive, and shine light into the darkness. Episode Highlights[01:00] Morning reflections and gratitude on the trail[02:30] Remembering Hugh’s 26 years of sobriety and his spiritual journey[04:15] Daily prayer and calling God “Dad”[05:00] Leaving a soul print and living with purpose[06:15] Lessons from Andy Stanley: God’s upside-down pyramid[07:00] Finding beauty in reminders of love, even through loss[09:30] Living as the light in a world that needs loveSpecial Thanks to Our Sponsors🌾 Luckie’s Pine Straw – https://luckiespinestraw.com 🔥 Holiday Beach Mechanical – holidaybeachmechanical.com✂️ Hue Salon – huesalonandboutique.com👗 Amor Boutique – amorboutiquepc.com🌾 Luckie’s Pine Straw – luckiespinestraw.com🔥 Holiday Beach Mechanical – holidaybeachmechanical.com🏠 American Home Shield Warranty – Chris Dickson, 850-568-5142 American Home Shield Website: https://bit.ly/47qqsf5🏡 Beachy Beach Real Estate – (850) 233-4351 www.beachybeach.com 💛 Bay Tax – [email protected] | (720) 310-0084 Website: https://www.bay.taxLet’s Stay Connected!Follow along @MyHappyAssLife on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and YouTube so you never miss an episode.🎙 Presented by ADF MediaBe sweet, y’all! 💛
