I bet you're thinking "modeling is just about looking pretty in front of a camera," maybe you're right, but also very wrong. It ISN'T just about being pretty in front of a camera, as a model you learn to embrace YOU, something that is hard for a lot of women (+ men) to reflect + find. I found modeling when I was 24, with no idea what to expect + what I'd learn. 4 years later I'm so thankful for the experiences I've had because it's contributed largely to the woman I am today. In this episode, I'm setting the record straight on how modeling changed me, elevated my confidence, + made me a better leader. My journey didn't start because of vanity but because of my continuous quest to develop personally. Don't think modeling + the Navy go hand-in-hand? Your right again! They absolutely don't: different fields, different industries, different kinds of people. But, the qualities I walked away with as a model have now instilled a kind of leadership I'll always be proud of. Tune in to see why + let's see how the stigma of being a model is often misunderstood. Enjoyed this episode?
