This pride month we wanted to learn more about the history of the Oak Lawn neighborhood in Dallas. Before it became a literal crossroads for the community, gay bars were scattered around the city, in various neighborhoods and often not very visible. So, how did the intersection of Cedar Springs Road and Oak Lawn Avenue become a central gathering place for Dallas gays?
