Monday, June 15 –Dutch fans bring their special World Cup tradition to North Texas
The World Cup officially got underway last week but the first match here in North Texas was yesterday. And Dutch fans brought a special tradition with them. KERA's mid-cities reporter Andy Lusk followed alongside the Orange Army.Arlington reporter James Hartley joined Andy tell us a little bit more about that first match at Dallas Stadium over the weekend, and how the influx of travelers to North Texas has been impacting the region.

"Mind Your Business" is our weekly check-in with a local small business owner. This week, we're taking you inside the Liberty Lounge in Fort Worth. Its owner, Jenna Hill, told us about the evolution of the space Liberty inhabits, her responsibility to her largely LGBTQ clientele, and what she's learned being raised in the queer community.The CDC estimates someone in the U-S has a stroke every 40 seconds and African Americans have the highest rate of stroke. In today’s Vital Signs, Dr. Alla Al-Habib — a neurologist with Texas Health Plano — talks with KERA's Sam Baker. That disparity, she says, is related to public health policies.

June Chow grew up helping her mother run the family's restaurant. After that, Chow swore she'd never go into the restaurant business... But found herself reconsidering once she had kids to put through college. In 2017, Chow opened the first Hello Dumpling location in Dallas. She says it’s been a way to fill a gap in Chinese cuisine in the city — and give her customers a taste of her own nostalgia.Think host Krys Boyd joins Ron and Miranda to give us a sneak peak at some of the thought-provoking conversations we'll hear on the show this week
