How This Momma of Six Left Her Mormon Religion And Found Her Life Purpose with TJ Aneca

from Go Regulate Yourself · host Brianne Roberge

Today in our 'Friday's with Friends' feature, we are joined by the incredible TJ Aneca, who walks us through what it was like to leave her Mormon religion after building her life and family around it. She walks us back to over ten years ago when she was pregnant with her sixth child, and they realized that they just couldn't do it anymore. Together we discuss the loss of community and the loss of self she experienced, the grieving that occurred, and how she ultimately had to figure out who she was without the religious context. She shares how this catapulted her into a love of self-development and fitness- and everything that she gained by walking away. In this jaw-dropping episode we talk motherhood, perimenopause, the gift of being present, living life to the fullest, and most importantly- how we all have the power to create the life that we desire through the choices that we make. You don't want to miss this episode. So let's dive in, shall we?  Here's A Little About TJ + Her Journey:I'm TJ Aneca, a Certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, Nutrition Coach, and Life Coach, but more importantly, I'm a 48-year-old mom of six, a grandma, and a woman who knows firsthand how challenging perimenopause can feel. For years, I poured myself into being a stay-at-home mom, and while I treasured those moments, I also felt the tug of losing myself along the way. It wasn't until I began prioritizing my own health—physically, mentally, and emotionally—that I found my strength again. That transformation showed me just how powerful it is when women give themselves permission to take up space, feel strong in their bodies, and embrace the changes that come with this stage of life. Now, I dedicate my work to supporting women 35+ who are navigating perimenopause. Together, we focus on fitness, balanced nutrition, and mindset practices that help restore energy, build confidence, and create lasting habits. My goal is to remind every woman that perimenopause isn't something to "just get through"—it's a season to thrive in, to step into your worth, and to discover the version of yourself you truly love.  Find + Connect With TJ Here: Check out her WEBSITECheck out her INSTAGRAM + SECONDARY PAGE   Connect on Instagram:Brianne RobergeGo Regulate YourselfConnect on Facebook:Brianne RobergeGo Regulate Yourself
