How to Know You're Hearing From God Pt. 2

A word from God is a starting point, not a finish line. Receiving a clear direction from the Lord doesn't remove the tests between here and where you're going. Every level of a building has to be inspected and pass on its own terms, and spiritual growth works the same way. We cover why the call was real and the tests are also real, and why pointing to what God said is not a substitute for doing your part. We look at a couple who received genuinely dramatic, supernatural confirmation that they were supposed to marry each other, multiple unmistakable signs, and still watched their marriage fall apart because they treated the word as a reason to skip preparation entirely. Faith without works is dead, and even the clearest word from God will die if no effort follows it. We also get into the pattern that repeats quietly in people's lives, where every time resistance shows up they take it as a sign they've missed God, shift direction, and end up facing the same test again at the same level without ever passing it. James 1 describes endurance as something that grows through the testing of your faith, and when it's fully developed you'll be complete, needing nothing. That process is supposed to be uncomfortable. The other half of it is staying tuned to the small corrections. A half-degree deviation early is easy to fix.
