How to not Pass on Your Trauma to the People Around You

from The Highly Sensitive Soul Podcast · host Julia Bernbaum

This is an important episode breaking down how we can prevent ourselves from passing down our trauma to the people in our lives (or animals, plants and inanimate objects :). First, we must become aware of our wounds by educating ourselves and naming them. We must understand how our wounding shows up in our lives and how it affects our ability to thrive. Then we must be able to see how our trauma affects the people in our lives. Can you see yourself through their eyes? We must learn not to project our trauma, programming, and ideas about the people we see onto them. This is passing on trauma to innocent people. And we must learn to take full responsibility to the places where we stepped out of our bounds in any way, shape, or form to trespass the people in our lives. This is where true healing happens. I talk about working with the Ho'oponopono prayer: I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. This releases any cords or attachments or stickiness that we bind to one another.  True healing is systemic, and we are all responsible for healing this planet. Every single one of us, no matter how far you've come, there's always more we can contribute.  You can find me at www.juliabernbaum.com where you can find out about Life & Wellness Coaching, Tarot & and Astrological Natal Chart Readings, and Yogic support. Thanks again for tuning in and I truly hope this episode was helpful for you.  ❤️
