How to Prepare for Censorship by Establishing Yourself on Various Platforms

Hello Everyone!I came to Substack by way of Medium. My first posts on this platform were tutorials about how to use Medium. I published those posts here because Medium isn’t particularly interested in “craft of Medium” type articles.For the first year, I had a lot more visibility on Medium than on Substack. Then Substack started to give me a better month every now and then. Today, I’m seen a lot more on Substack. However, I’ve been in the writing business long enough to know that trends change.A lot of writers become angry and discouraged when they feel as if they’re losing traction on a platform. As for me, I just see it as part of the business. In this article Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈 sat down to give me a quick tutorial about how to operate Beehiiv.com. As we chatted, it instantly became apparent that Wendy knows a lot more about the programming side of writing. She’s a tremendous resource for anyone who is in a targeted group that just cannot seem to carve out a corner on any platform.I personally know a lot of writers who are regularly targeted by malicious groups and they are very much in need of a safe space on the internet to share their voice. For the time being, I plan to stay on Substack and Medium, but who knows what’s going to happen in the next year?
