How to step out of autopilot and be present in your life - Ep. 19

from The Mindful Path · host Isabelle Griffith

Over years of living, our brain has acquired a lot of knowledge and used it to create automated ways of thinking and reacting to our environment and circumstances. This is what we refer to as our autopilot.  We live on autopilot nearly 50% of the time! And whilst it can be very helpful at times, it can leave us feeling disempowered and unfulfilled. As if we had no control over our life. Unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours can also slip into our autopilot without us noticing. These become part of our default thoughts and reactions. We may not like them, but we feel unable to control them.  In this episode, we explore how to step out of autopilot and make conscious choices about how we want to think and respond to our experiences. This is the foundation for living intentionally.  For more tips on how to live a more mindful and purposeful life, hop over to www.lightupandthrive.com.   Music by www.hooksound.com
