from Move iQ Podcast

Are you looking for a property to rent?   There are many things to consider before renting a new home; who is the landlord? How long is the lease? Is it furnished? These are the questions that you need to ask when deciding if the property itself is right for you.   You also need to make sure you've done your research when it comes to the local area, what amenities are nearby? What are the schools like? How convenient are the transport links? etc.   It's very important to know the advantages and disadvantages of different properties before signing anything.   In the second episode of season two of the Move iQ Podcast, Phil shares his knowledge with co-host Chris Ducker on what to consider when viewing a rental property. They also dive into the pros and cons of being a tenant, whether it's better to rent privately or through an agent, the differences between landlords, benefits of furnished vs unfurnished homes and so much more.   Listen in to find out: Why it's important to know who your landlord is The difference between portfolio, individual and accidental landlords How to know whether a furnished, unfurnished or semi-furnished property is right for you Whether renting via a letting agent or private landlord is better How to discuss awkward matters such as not liking the furniture in the property   Thank you for listening to the Move iQ podcast!
