The person said they could switch me to a cheaper mobile phone plan. 刘娜: Did he keep pushing you to decide right away? 大卫: Yes. He said if I didn’t sign up today, the discount would be gone tomorrow, and he asked for my ID number. 刘娜: Then you were right to hang up. A truly legitimate service won’t keep rushing you, and it definitely won’t casually ask for important information. 大卫: I was a little afraid of being impolite, so I said, 'Sorry, I don’t need it right now.' 刘娜: That was good. On unknown calls, don’t give your name, ID number, bank card details, or verification codes. 大卫: What if he calls again? 刘娜: You can hang up directly or block the number. Don’t chat with him for too long. 大卫: Got it. From now on, when I hear phrases like 'sign up right away,' I won’t believe them immediately.
