Hue Have to Hear This – The Message of Violet Blend

SPECIAL EPISODE: For Season 2, Episode 19, in Honor of National Women’s History Month, my guest this week is Giada Celeste Chelli (vocalist) of Violet Blend, an Italian alternative rock/metal band formed in Florence in 2014. Known for their high-energy, sound blending rock, punk, and metal, they have released the albums White Mask (2017) and Demons (2021) and are currently working on a new album. As to why I chose Giada as my guest this week, with being #nationalwomenshistorymonth which honors the contributions of women to history and society, Giada is making a huge difference in Italy as an advocate for social issues, especially with a current campaign against stalking, to which she was a victim herself. Through her experience and advocacy she wrote a song called #thereignofsadness which is currently available for streaming and developed a role playing board/card game called #TalkOrStalk to heighten the awareness about this act of violence.
