Hulpverlener in Gaza & Bewijs voor etnische zuiveringen in Soedan

Tussen het oorlogsgeweld in Gaza proberen artsen en verpleegkundigen de zorg overeind te houden, maar in de paar nog werkende ziekenhuizen is er tekort aan personeel, medicijnen en ziekenhuisbedden. Volgens recent VN-onderzoek zijn bijna duizend verplegers en artsen gedood. De Vlaamse hulpverlener Sarah Vuylsteke werkt als projectcoördinator voor Artsen zonder Grenzen in Gaza en vertelt over de dagelijkse realiteit van haar werk. (10:04) Anonieme slachtoffers in Soedan krijgen een gezicht Al anderhalf jaar strijden het Soedanese regeringsleger en de paramilitaire groep RSF om de macht in Soedan. Het conflict kostte het leven aan tienduizenden mensen, door oorlogsgeweld, etnische zuiveringen en voedseltekorten. Maar hoeveel slachtoffer het precies zijn, weet niemand. Want informatie uit Soedan is schaars: journalisten kunnen in het land niet meer werken. Onderzoekscollectief Lighthouse Reports onderzocht een gewelddadige aanval op de bewoners van de westelijke stad Kutum en wist de slachtoffers én daders een gezicht te geven.
