"I FELT THE PRESENCE OF THAT BOY'S DECEASED MOTHER", Heber J. Grant, 1895

Heber J. Grant lost both of his son's in early childhood. Daniel Wells Grant was five years old when he died of a hip disease. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy, three years prior. Heber was having a hard time letting Daniel go, when he had a dream that included Lucy coming from the other side of the veil to take Daniel home. The Lord allowed this thinning of the veil experience for many reasons. One of which was preparation but also a knowledge that his son would not be alone and that he would once again be reunited with his loving mother. This allowed Heber to see the eternal nature of familial relationships and feel more at peace at the loss of his son.
