I Lived To Tell The Story ft. Sakari

Before she became a celebrated entrepreneur, a Spelman alumna, and the visionary behind a luxury fragrance brand… Sakari Sanders was fighting for her life—literally. In this deeply raw and necessary conversation, Sakari opens up about the reality behind her glow—surviving abusive relationships where her life was once threatened, including a moment no woman should ever have to experience… a gun placed in her mouth. But this episode isn’t just about what she endured— it’s about what she unlearned. We talk about: • Staying in toxic cycles just to say you have a man • Confusing attention with love • Ignoring red flags and abandoning self-worth • How brokenness attracts brokenness • And the hard truth about why we settle Sakari doesn’t hold back as she walks us through her journey of rebuilding—from survival mode to self-love, from silence to standards. Now, as the founder of Give Me Flowers, a community dedicated to honoring women’s stories in love, life, and business, she’s helping other women recognize their value—before the world tries to define it for them. This episode will challenge you, convict you, and most importantly… remind you: You don’t wait for someone else to choose you. You choose you first.
