3 months ago, I finally got the push to start running when I saw my favourite speaker, author and podcast host @msrachelhollis on tour. On those first few runs, I could hear Rachel’s voice in my head saying “It’s you against you”, this pushed me to keep going. Until slowly it became my own voice that was cheering me on. Running is a mental game. It’s teaching me that I am capable of SO much more than I think I am. I'm learning that my body is meant for movement and my mind is meant to be challenged. That the flow of a run can become a meditative practice where I get to process life events and jam out to music. In this episode, I talk about it all. How I started, why I started, the reality of what my "training" was like and how it felt to run in my very first race. If I can run 10km straight for 1 hour and 11 minutes there is so much more I can do that I would've never thought was possible.
