I.T. Ep.7: How I Learned to Stop Begging for Belonging and Find Mutual Care — A Firsthand Guide for Misfits, Rejects, and the Lonely-Hearted

from INTERCUNTINENTAL THERAPY · host MOTHER.LOADING

You'll have friends for a season, while you're in a city, maybe from childhood, or maybe just for a weekend bender, and all are fab for that reason and should be enjoyed and treasured as such! Sometimes projecting expectations or desires on past what they're meant for or what's flowing organically will just drive you mad. So trust that you will meet people throughout your life that will change you for that chapter, and that sometimes solitude is a lesson and a reminder for you to be closer with yourself. Don't forget about your old friends and the ones that have really been there for you. But growing apart is as certain as it is that we will all change and evolve and sometimes things don't fit anymore. As somebody who had traits of anxious attachment, becoming my own best mate was not something I thought possible, but it makes nurturing sustainable relationships easier, among many other things!
