INTERCUNTINENTAL THERAPY

A sociological and anthropological study of the trenches connecting culture, nightlife, and queerness one stall at a time. An audio and sometimes visual experiment masquerading as a podcast, but better used as a score for a trip or a comedown. We apply a forensic, and deeply petty, lens to the affects of gayness across continents. It's intercuntinental therapy. Your host, Leanne Mark, acts as a reluctant moderator for crunchy and unedited conversations that are less interviews and more emotional excavations landing both profoundly endearing and yet breathtakingly petty.

I.T. Ep.7: How I Learned to Stop Begging for Belonging and Find Mutual Care — A Firsthand Guide for Misfits, Rejects, and the Lonely-Hearted

You'll have friends for a season, while you're in a city, maybe from childhood, or maybe just for a weekend bender, and all are fab for that reason and should be enjoyed and treasured as such! Sometimes projecting expectations or desires on past what they're meant for or what's flowing organically will just drive you mad. So trust that you will meet people throughout your life that will change you for that chapter, and that sometimes solitude is a lesson and a reminder for you to be closer with yourself. Don't forget about your old friends and the ones that have really been there for you. But growing apart is as certain as it is that we will all change and evolve and sometimes things don't fit anymore. As somebody who had traits of anxious attachment, becoming my own best mate was not something I thought possible, but it makes nurturing sustainable relationships easier, among many other things!

I.T: SOLO EPISODE! Difficult Endings, The Ways Grieving is Humbling, Dating Apps Disguised, The Importance of Living Somewhere You're a 10, Untold the app & Half-assed Verbal Stims for Soul Revival

Nothing like the tail end of the year of the snake to bite ya in the ass hey? Host and official Intercuntinental Therapist opens up about the loss of her gran, the ways that grieving has surprised her, and all delivered in a very slow and gentle benzo'd out Meredith Marks like tone. The rollercoaster of an episode starts gentle, and picks up with her sexy language lessons, after which she finally finds a streak of hope in her future trips to Paris for a lil romp around town for fashion week, and later her annual pilgrimage to Brazil. This episode is not sponsored by Brazil Tourism but it really should be. Astrologically speaking the year's not over yet, so don't forget to take some time and think of what you want for the year of the horse as lunar new year is around the corner.Pairs well with: bed with the lights off, short flight, feeling lonely and a bit apathetic.

I.T: Ep.4 Bonus - Did You Ever Even Pick Up a Book? Is Being Bored Wasting Time? Green Flags on Dating Profiles Do They Exist?

The crumbs, the dregs, the backwash of the last episode but shorter for those who are feeling particularly masochistic xx

I.T: Disorganized Dating Among the Anxiously Attached, Delusions and Jest as Weapons for Life's Pivot, Borderline Tendencies Around Sex. Plus: The Cultural Gospel of Real Housewives.

Is it a bit, or is it a bit nuts? Get cozy with Elif and Leanne as they assume their natural positions on a familiar couch. In this episode, they facetiously debate nonsensical absolutes , role-play to gaslight themselves up, work through insecurities via memories Tina Turner, and unlearn archaic beliefs from past lives—all while preparing for their next big pivot. Expect a smattering harsh generalizations, insane simplifications, mumbly snack-filled bites and an ongoing thread of real housewives.Pairs well with: a nite-in after cancelling dinner with friends because it's a bit too cold, you're low on social battery, don't have enough energy for a call with a friend, would rather make dinner to save a bit of cash, and would maybe feel nicer letting the conversation of two friends going on about nothing fill space between the walls of a perfectly empty and dimly lit room.

I.T: Swamping through Psychosis via Seduction. The Quantum Logico of a Rio Fling. Dating with Height Gaps and Age Gaps. Mini Manifestations for a Confused Bisexual Gal w/ Ito.

Settle into the humid embrace of a foggy ambient swamp as fellow-frogs Leanne and Ito dip in and out of topic and tangent. This hour of dialog unfolds like a shared memory, gently deconstructing the soft alienation of grey months and the comic humiliation of re-schooling. All the while, the spirit of Rio looms, a seductive backdrop of first flings, lesbian yearnings and foundational betrayals. As the talk deepens, it attunes itself to a different frequency altogether, because why spiral down when you can spiral up? Fortune favors the delusional after all no?~ Tracing the same path through the grocery aisles without a list~ Peeling vegetables for a soup you don't feel like eating~ Organizing books by color instead of genre~ Untangling dangly necklaces from a trip overseas that you'll never wear~ Doing your hair~ Scrolling real estate listings somewhere with more sun~ Sorting through clothes to donate because you'll never actually sell any of this online

I.T: Substances and Supplements, Sisterly Side-Eye, Ran Through Words of 2025 and a Very Important PSA for Those Who Partake in the Art of Afters w/ Alyha Love

Two chicks clucking on the unspoken truths of their friendship as they negotiate the subtleties of sisterhood. In this episode of Intercuntinental Therapy, host Leanne Mark and guest Alyha Love pull up a chair to the realities of life in Berlin without the noise of a scene or the pressure to perform.Their talk meanders through the psychic terrain of career anxiety, the complex dance of friendship and community - all with a vulnerability that feels startling and familiar. It’s a raw, honest portrait of the gap between how life looks on the feed and how it feels in the bones, exploring what it means to be seen by someone who remembers who you were before you became who you are.Pairs well with: A slow, merciful rise on a crisp fall morning after a big weekend. When the self-pity is circling and a subtle pang of loneliness sets in as you gear up to get on with it. It's a privilege to be this tired

I.T: Celibacy Cumback like Riding a Bike? Will the FLINTA* Militia Save or Re-Traumatize Us? Darkroom Re-enactments w/ Edwin Nasr

Writer and curator Edwin Nasr joins friend and host Leanne for their usual tangential chat—not so dissimilar from weekends past, though with less chain-smoking and peripheral fornication. This time, Nasr takes a blowtorch to the sacred cows of sexuality and queerness while dragging everything from the whiplash of living in Germany as a foreigner, and the clichéd complacency of wanting to date but being stuck at a carry. It’s a masterclass in intellectual arson: burning down tired norms with a smirk and a devastatingly sharp critique. Not that deep, but cutting yet still sweet enough to leave you wanting more. Pairs well with: shot of espresso in the afternoon when you gotta wake it TF and muster the energy to use the dregs of your tired social battery. Because yes actually sometimes your friends can charge you up.
