If incarnation is the infinite taking form, who are we? அவதாரம் என்றால் என்ன?
from Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom · host Santhosam
Incarnation, or avadhaaram, refers to divine consciousness taking form in the earthly realm — “avam” meaning above and “dharam” meaning below. Why would a being from a higher plane descend into this world? One way to understand it is that such a descent helps uplift humanity. When we hold this view, we see that a greater potential expresses itself through noble individuals, guiding others toward a better path. But this isn’t limited to a single person — every one of us carries a divine spark. Not only the Guru, each one of us is an incarnation. So trust yourself. Don’t place blind faith in anyone, not even Guru. Whatever Guru teaches, examine it with your own intellect. Accept only what aligns with your understanding. Even if the Guru's words are true because of intense penance or spiritual power, don’t believe it for that reason alone. If something doesn’t resonate with your reasoning, set it aside.Have confidence in your own vicharam — your thoughtful inquiry. That inner clarity, confidence and faith will show you the way.Send us Fan MailLet Wisdom Flourish!Let Peace Prevail! Let us protect Mother earth!Let us protect the Universe!
