The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) says the humanitarian situation in Venezuela remains critical following two powerful earthquakes, measuring magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5, that struck the north-central parts of the country. Hundreds of people have been trapped beneath rubble, while many others remain unaccounted for after the earthquakes devastated areas in and around the capital, Caracas. The disaster has killed hundreds of people, damaged buildings, and left thousands homeless. Bongiwe Zwane spoke to International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies spokesperson Paolo Cravero
