The Kingdom of God isn't a distant place but refers to God's rule and authority. This Kingdom is both a present reality and a future hope awaiting complete fulfillment.Throughout the Old Testament, God desired to rule His people directly, but they repeatedly chose human kings who ultimately failed. Jesus came as the perfect King, demonstrating a Kingdom that operates through sacrifice and service rather than force and power. When we pray for God's Kingdom to come, we're asking Him to replace our imperfect rule with His perfect governance in every area of our lives.
